The issue is that in PowerShell 5, Invoke-WebRequest and Invoke-RestMethod both strip the authorization header when being redirected to the next URI - that is why OP (and me as well) was getting a 401 when using the generic "www.dayforce.com", it redirects the GET call to the next location but the auth header is stripped.
